Techture delivered end-to-end BIM coordination and lifecycle modeling services for a 77,000 sq. ft. Station Upgrades infrastructure project using Bentley OpenBuildings Designer (OBD), ProjectWise, and OpenSite. The engagement involved upgrading client-issued LOD 300 multi-discipline models to LOD 400 for construction coordination, followed by LOD 500 as-built development aligned with MTA standards. The workflow integrated shop drawings, trade contractor inputs, and point cloud scans to ensure installation-level accuracy. The final deliverable included coordinated BIM models and standards-compliant as-built documentation supporting facility management integration.
1. Upgrade of client-issued LOD 300 multi-discipline DGN models (Architecture, Structure, MEPF, Civil Utilities & Track) to coordinated LOD 400 construction models using Bentley OpenBuildings Designer.
2. Federated model setup within a controlled ProjectWise CDE environment for version management and discipline integration.
3. Structured clash detection with documented issue tracking (unique IDs, location references, and discipline categorisation).
4. Integration of approved trade contractor shop drawings and submittals into the LOD 400 model during the construction phase.
5. Development of LOD 500 as-built models using approved redlines, MTA-approved cut sheets, and monthly point cloud inputs.
6. Preparation of MTA-compliant as-built drawings and linkage of O&M documentation to model elements for asset lifecycle management.
